Baxter W. Banowsky—known by clients and colleagues as “Bax the Ax”—has been representing Texans in high-stakes litigation for more than three decades. Today, Baxter leads Ax Injury Law, a firm devoted to helping injury victims and their families recover the compensation they deserve. With deep courtroom experience and a fearless approach to litigation, he stands up to insurance companies, corporations, and negligent parties—always with the goal of delivering justice for his clients.
While personal injury is now his primary focus, Baxter’s diverse background spans a wide range of civil litigation. He has represented individuals, businesses, and public entities in matters involving:

- Community Services Foundation – Former President, supporting HVAC assistance for low-income and elderly North Texans
- Grace Academy of Dallas – Former Chairman of the Board of Trustees (2007–2019), supporting Christian education
Personal
Baxter lives in Highland Village, Texas, with his wife Tanya. When he’s not in the courtroom, he enjoys spending time with family,working on his truck and watching college football.
